Embassy in Czech Republic holds meeting for promoting Mongolia
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With objectives to attract foreign tourists to Mongolia and to promote Mongolia in the Czech Republic, the Mongolian Embassy in that country has organized a meeting with famous Czech adventurers.
The meeting was attended by Miroslav Bobek, director of the Prague Zoo which is an implementer of a program on acclimatizing takhi (Przewalski's horse); Petr Jahoda, an adventurer and author of the “Mongolians on horseback”; Jaroslav Sima, an adventurer and racer of the Dakar Rally; and Waclaw Sura, a researcher on Polar studies.
While meeting with the adventurers, the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Czech Republic D.Zumberellham emphasized important role of those tourists who have been to Mongolia in drawing foreign travelers and enhancing lnowledge about Mongolia.
The Ambassador congratulated Petr Horki on being appointed a Cultural Envoy of Mongolia to the Czech Republic by a decision of the Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and then wished him success. Adventurer and producer Petr Horki has traveled some 100 countries, written books and made documentary films on the nations he visited. He produced three films in Mongolia about Khovsgol Lake and the Death Worm, a mysterious creature in Gobi desert.
Zumberellham carried on conversation with the guests on Mongolian history, culture, tradition and a present situation of Mongolian tourism industry. They shared views on ways of promoting Mongolia in the Czech Republic, expanding the tourism cooperation and co-organizing various measures for attracting tourists to Mongolia.
