IRNA sends congratulatory letter to MONTSAME on milestone anniversarySociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mohammad Khodadi, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and CEO of Iran Group of Newspapers, sent a congratulatory letter addressed to MONTSAME Director, Mr A.Baatarkhuyag, on the occasion of 95th anniversary of the Mongolia’s first news agency.
“On behalf of my colleagues in the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), I would like to congratulate you on the jubilee, 95th anniversary of Montsame News Agency.
Iran and Mongolia are two influential countries in two important regions of the world and share historic and cultural commonalities. The two countries have had diplomatic relations with each other for half a century. Both of them cooperate closely in the United Nations and Non-Aligned Movement.
Likewise, IRNA and Montsame News Agency have enjoyed bilateral and multilateral professional cooperation. IRNA and Montsame are members of professional inter-news agency coalitions including OANA and Non-Aligned News Network (N.N.N) and have outstanding activities in these coalitions.
Therefore, it is expected that IRNA and Montsame would exploit the good relations between the two countries with respect to their long-standing relations, in order to expand media cooperation between the two friendly countries and awareness of our public opinion including the officials.
The cooperation agreement signed in 2011 between IRNA and Montsame on the sideline of OANA EBM in Ulaanbaatar would lead us to expand the cooperation and launch professional relationship.
One good example of this cooperation is that, about three months ago IRNA at the request of Montsame, provided photos of old and modern Iran to be displayed at a photo exhibition that had been held on the occasion of 45th anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Mongolia diplomatic relations in Ulaanbaatar.
We suggest reciprocal and sustained meetings between the experts and directors of our news agencies to exchange their experiences.
Once again, we congratulate your and wish for further accomplishments for our colleagues in Montsame as well as success and welfare of the people and government of Mongolia”, it reads.
