Ulaanbaatar, March 31, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A Working Group led by Head of the Office of the National Council for Road Safety of Mongolia T. Erkhembaatar, inspected the international roads and related road facilities passing through Govisumber and Dornogobi aimags, as well as Zamiin-Uud soum.
The Working Group determined that potholes measuring a total of 4,000 square meters along 140 road sections would be repaired. In addition, roadbeds and shoulders at three locations would be restored, 79 signs and technical equipment repaired, and 86 new road signs installed. The group also monitored state and local roads passing through the territories of these soums, inspecting 350 vehicles and imposing penalties for 67 infractions, including exceeding weight limits and violating lighting equipment rules.
The Working Group provided advice aimed at preventing crimes and violations related to road traffic safety and vehicle usage regulations. It will also develop proposals for necessary measures and draft decisions.
