Ulaanbaatar, May 9, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Vegetable growers in Mongolia will receive incentives starting from June 1, 2025, in accordance with the Procedure for Providing Cash Incentives and Non-Cash Support for Crops Grown by Individuals and Enterprises Engaged in Agricultural Production.

The types of vegetables eligible for incentives include cabbage, onions, garlic, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and leafy greens, reported the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia. In addition, carrots and beets are eligible if the crops are supplied to processing plants.

Vegetable growers must cultivate crops on land they own, possess, or lease, and the land must be registered in the Integrated Land Information System (e-gazar.gov.mn). They must record data on planting, field maintenance, pesticide and fertilizer use, harvest, and prepared fallow in the Agricultural Production Database (plant.mofa.gov.mn). The crop must have an electronic certificate of origin. Additionally, growers must register with their name and registration number in the Electronic Tax Invoice System (e-barimt.mn), issue an e-receipt using the designated product code for incentive-eligible products, and ensure that both the buyer and the seller confirm the transaction through verified payment receipts.
