Ulaanbaatar, May 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Launch Event of the books “The State and Legal Traditions of Mongolia: A Historical Overview” and “Constitutional Law of Mongolia: Third Edition” took place at Shihihutug University, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on May 26, 2025. 


The collaborative work “The State and Legal Traditions of Mongolia” was authored by Consulting Professor of Shihihutug University, Academician, Distinguished Scholar of Science, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor J. Boldbaatar and Chairman of the Academic Council of Shihihutug University, Merited Lawyer, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor D. Lundeejantsan.


Translated into English by Translator and Diplomat Ch. Burenbayar, under the title “The State and Legal Traditions of Mongolia: A Historical Overview,” the book is being published by Melrose Legal Publishers, based in The Hague, the Netherlands.


First published in 1996, the “Constitutional Law of Mongolia” textbook has served as a highly demanded academic source and reference for students and researchers of tertiary education and academic research organizations in Mongolia. The textbook was selected as the Best Work by the Mongolian Foundation for Science and Technology in 1998 and received the prestigious Kiriyama Prize in 2008, named after a renowned Japanese religious and social figure.


Furthermore, the “Constitutional Law of Mongolia” textbook has now been released in its third edition. The textbook was jointly authored by Chairman of the Academic Council of Shihihutug University, Merited Lawyer, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor D. Lundeejantsan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shihihutug University, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor Ch. Enkhbaatar. This textbook, which has become a foundational source for universities and institutions providing legal education in Mongolia, contributes to the development of legal thinking and the formation of analytical capacity for both theoretical and practical understanding by explaining and disseminating the fundamental ideas, principles, and values of the Constitution of Mongolia.
