Average monthly household budget shrinks
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Average monthly household expenditure stood at 858.6 thousand MNT in the fourth quarter of 2015, indicating a decrease of 130.0 thousand MNT or 13.2 percent compared to the same period of 2014, reports the State Registration and Statistics Agency.
This decrease was impacted by a decrease in the expenditure for non-food products and services and other expenses by 102.9 thousand MNT or 14.1 percent.
At the same time, an average monthly cash income of a household was 848.8 thousand MNT, going down 123.4 thousand MNT or 12.7 percent against the same period of 2014. This reflected decreases in the income from non-agricultural production and services of 31.6 thousand MNT or 31.6 percent, and in other incomes of 38.3 thousand MNT or 34.1 percent.
