There are some 107 million people on Earth vulnerable to natural disasters, reports the International   Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). For this, building global disaster response capacity has come to be a foremost goal of the IFRC.

In this light, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent has released an appeal which was signed today by the Government of Mongolia in support of the IFRC initiative. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in presence of IFRC Secretary General Elhadj As Sy who is on working visit in Mongolia.

In recent years, millions of Earth inhabitants have been undergoing natural cataclysms occurring even more frequently. According to a survey of IFRC, over 6300 disasters with heavy losses were recorded on Earth in last decade.
