Total revenue of general government budget decreased by 17.9 percent
EconomyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. According to the preliminary results
in the first 10 months of 2021, the total revenue of the general government budget
was MNT 12.2 trillion, increased by MNT 4.0 trillion (48.2%) compared to the
same period of previous year. The equilibrated revenue of the general
government budget was MNT 10.7 trillion increased by MNT 3.1 (41.0%) trillion
compared to the same period of previous year.
On the other hand, the total expenditure and net lending was
MNT 12.2 trillion in the first 10 months of 2021, resulting in deficit of MNT
1.5 trillion decreased by MNT 1.7 (52.5%) trillion compared to the same period
of previous year.
In October 2021, the total equilibrated revenue and grants
of general government budget was MNT 1.0 trillion, decreased by MNT 156.7
billion (15.9%) compared to the previous month. The total expenditure and net
lending were MNT 1.3 trillion, decreased by MNT 122.5 billion (8.9%) compared
to the previous month.
The equilibrated balance of the general government budget
was in deficit of 211.2 billion in August, in deficit of 236.1 billion in
September and 270.3 billion in October 2021. In the first 10 months of 2021,
stabilization fund revenue increased by 4.5 percentage points and non-tax
revenue increased by 1.9 percentage points while tax revenue decreased by 6.3
percentage points and the future heritage fund revenue decreased by 0.1
percentage points compared to the same period of previous year.
In the first 10 months of 2021, tax revenue reached MNT 9.4
trillion, increased by MNT 2.5 trillion (37.0%) compared to the same period of
previous year. This increase was mainly due to MNT 1.2 trillion (69.8 %)
increase in income tax revenue, MNT 470.6 billion (37.3%) increase in social
security revenue, MNT 453.6 billion (24.8%) increase in value added tax
revenue, MNT 172.7 billion (27.6%) increase in other taxes revenue and MNT
152.9 billion (24.7%) increase in foreign activity revenue.
According to the preliminary results of October 2021, tax
revenue reached MNT 898.9 billion, decreased by MNT 79.4 billion (8.1%)
compared to previous month. This decrease was mainly due to MNT 89.6 billion
(30.6%) decrease in value added tax revenue and MNT 50.3 billion (44.7%)
decrease in other taxes revenue while MNT 88.1 billion (42.5%) increase in
income tax revenue and MNT 11.6 billion (6.4%) increase in social security
revenue.
In the first 10 months of 2021, income taxes revenue
increased by 6.1 percentage points while value added tax revenue decreased by
2.4 percentage points, excise taxes revenue decreased by 2.0 percentage points,
other taxes revenue decreased by 0.9 percentage points and foreign activity revenues
decreased by 0.8 percentage points compared to the same period of previous
year.
In the first 10 months of 2021, general government budget
expenditure and net lending was MNT 12.2 trillion, increased by MNT 1.4
trillion (12.8%) compared to the same period of previous year. This increase
was primarily affected by MNT 1.7 trillion (19.6%) increase in current
expenditure while MNT 371.6 billion (17.3%) decrease in capital expenditure
compared to the same period of previous year.
In October 2021, the general government budget expenditure
and net lending was MNT 1.3 trillion, decreased by MNT 122.5 billion (8.9%)
compared to previous month. This decrease was primarily affected by MNT 147.1
billion (41.5%) decrease in capital expenditure while MNT 16.4 billion (1.6%)
increase in current expenditure compared to the previous month.
