Mongolia and Indonesia to Closely Cooperate on High-Level Visits

Ulaanbaatar, August 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Arrmanatha C. Nasir on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) on August 22, 2025.
Foreign Minister Battsetseg noted that during her official visit to Indonesia in May of 2025, the two countries agreed to elevate their bilateral relations. Minister Battsetseg emphasized the importance of initiating exports of halal meat, particularly in the agricultural sector, to enrich the partnership with substantive new content.
The two sides highlighted the broad opportunities for deepening the friendly relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Indonesia. The officials agreed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2026 in a grand manner and to work closely on facilitating high-level visits as part of these commemorations.
Deputy Minister Arrmanatha C. Nasir underscored the importance of holding bilateral consultations between the two foreign ministries in the near future and expressed Indonesia’s readiness to actively cooperate in further expanding bilateral trade and economic ties.
The two sides also expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations.
