Ulaanbaatar, December 16, 2025 /MONTSAME/. During the “Tokyo Grand Slam 2025,” senior officials of the All-Japan Judo Federation held an official meeting with representatives of the Mongolian Judo Association and decided to expand bilateral cooperation.

Within this framework, the “Judo for Tomorrow” project will be reimplemented in Mongolia. The project aims to support the development of Mongolian judo, with a particular focus on strengthening the capacity of coaches working with children and youth. Under the project, four professional Japanese coaches will work in Ulaanbaatar from February 1 to 10, 2026, and conduct a 10-day training program for local judo teachers and coaches.

Additionally, cooperation will be established with the “Kodokan Judo Institute,” under which 10 to 15 coaches will be enrolled in specialized training programs. The sides emphasized that the cooperation represents an important step towards improving the quality of training for children and youth in Mongolian judo and bringing the professional skills of teachers and coaches closer to international standards.

It was also noted that following the “Tokyo Grand Slam 2025,” members of the national team of Mongolia participated in joint international training at the “Kodokan Judo Institute” before returning home.
