E.Amartuvshin Becomes 'Best Opera Baritone'

Ulaanbaatar, December 24, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The People's Artist of Mongolia and renowned baritone, Amartuvshin Enkhbat, has been honored with the "Best Opera Baritone" award at the "Opera Star-International Opera Awards 2025". The award ceremony took place in Rome, Italy, on December 23, 2025.
This achievement marks the official reception of the prestigious prize five years after he was first named for the honor in 2020. The road to this moment was notably impacted by global circumstances. Amartuvshin was actually scheduled to receive the award in Dubai, UAE, in 2021; however, the ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Another ceremony in 2023 was also cancelled. Finally, in 2025, the official trophy was presented to him during a grand ceremony held in Rome, Italy.
Amartuvshin is a regular guest on the stages of the world’s most prestigious opera houses. Critics and experts frequently highlight his perfect portrayals of characters in the works of Giuseppe Verdi, noting his exceptional vocal power and dramatic stage presence.
Beyond his vocal prowess, this award recognizes his significant influence on the art form and the exemplary role he plays for the new generation of opera singers. This latest honor serves as further confirmation of his status as a premier global baritone.
