Mongolian team takes down Malaysia in 3x3 basketball championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The third Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship is taking place in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia between April 12 and 16. Mongolian basketball team from National University of Mongolia is participating in the championship and has one win and one loss.
Under the guidance of coach S.Tulga, Mongolian basketball team is competing in Group A against Malaysia, Iran, Indonesia, China and the Philippines. Although they lost against China by 17:13 points, the team snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in their match against Malaysia with 19:18 scores.
Mongolian team previously won silver medals in the World University 3x3 Basketball Championship 2016 and Asian University 3x3 Basketball Championship 2015 and consists of B.Batzoldoo, B.Naranbaatar, A.Sukhbat and O.Enkhbaatar. Advancing through to the final round of the championship will enable for a chance to participate in the World University 3x3 Basketball Championships 2017.
