Tourism organizations of Mongolia and South Korea to implement joint project

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ ‘Tourism Development Center’ state-owned enterprise established a memorandum of cooperation in tourism sector with the Korea National Tourism Organization. In the frame of the cooperation, a project on establishing tourism training center and improving human resource capacity has been formulated.
The project targets to supporting implementation of state policy on tourism, augmenting the number and types of tourism products, improving service quality and accessibility and management of professional tourism organizations. Moreover, the project aims at improving human resource in tourism sector and constantly developing professional skills of the workers and sustainable tourism.
On April 23, Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat received Director of the Korea National Tourism Organization Mongolia Office Park Jung-woong, head of delegation of Dong-A University Hwan, other researchers and professors and the project was introduced during the meeting.
As a result of the project, the tourism sector's development expected to be intensified, having skilled staffs and professional workforce. Moreover, quality of tourism and hospitality services would be improved and a favorable condition for sustainable tourism development would be created.
The project is planned to be financed with official development assistance in the frames of the cooperation between organizations. The final decision on the financial issue will be made by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea in May.
