Australian Scholarship Program extended for five years

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Today, on October 1, Minister of Finance Ch.Khurelbaatar and Ambassador of Australia to Mongolia John Langtry signed the agreement on extension of the Australian Scholarship Program for five years.
The program that grants scholarships in
leading Australian universities has been implemented since 1993. Currently, a
total of 531 people from public and private sectors have been involved in the
program, studying master of management, business, law, public administration,
international relations and information technology.
The employment rate for graduates is 100 percent, 22.5 percent of which work in managerial position, which shows the efficiency of the program. In addition to gender equality, the program involves people from rural areas and people with disabilities since 2013.
The agreement includes scholarships not only
for master’s degree, but also for short-term training, which is an important
step in the development and training of personnel.
