360 Mongolians arrive from Russia

Works to repatriate Mongolian citizens, who had applied to return to their home from the Russian Federation, are underway through the Altanbulag border crossing checkpoint in Selenge aimag on May 26-27.


In accordance with this, a working group headed by Head of Operative team of the State Emergency Commission and Deputy Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency, Colonel B.Uuganbayar is working at the border checkpoint.



Yesterday, on May 26, a total of 360 Mongolians arriving from the Russian Federation were allowed entry to Mongolia and the returnees were brought to Ulaanbaatar city by a chartered train of the Ulaanbaatar Railways JSC from Selenge aimag today morning.


All the returnees were studying in Russian cities, such as Moscow, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Tuva, Kazan and Novosibirsk.

    Why are these repatriations from Russia facilitated to continue at a much accelerated rate compared to from the rest of the world? Shame on the Mongolian government for leaving so many citizens stranded abroad. It is disgraceful how much political grandstanding is taking place in relation to COVID-19.
