Speaker Zandanshatar wishes success to Mongolian athletes at FIDE Online Chess Olympiad 2020

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 15, Speaker of the Parliament G.Zandanshatar received athletes, who will be representing Mongolia at the International Chess Federation (FIDE) World Online Chess Olympiad 2020, to wish them success. 


The biannual event is being organized this year due to COVID-19 pandemic virtually at www.chess.com website between July 25 and August 30 by FIDE. 


Teams from 163 countries are taking part in the first Online Chess Olympiad, dividing into five sections. Mongolian athletes have gained the right to play in the leading section with their big success shown at the FIDE Chess Olympiad 2018 of being selected in the top 5 in Asia with their general score in the male and female categories.
