Construction Minister visits new wastewater treatment plant construction siteSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Construction and Urban Development B.Munkhbaatar, Deputy Governor of the Capital City for urban Development O.Mungunshagai, and other officials checked the current progress of Ulaanbaatar Central Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Project under implementation in the 20th subdistrict of Songinokharkhan district.
The USD 262.7 million project to construct a wastewater treatment plant with a daily capacity of 250,000 cubic meters of wastewater will be completed in 2024. In accordance with the Construction Law and relevant standards of Mongolia, the project contractor will be in charge of the trial operation of the plant for 6 and a half months and also upskill engineers of the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority to work with newly-installed equipment.
Local engineering and technical workers are currently preparing the site for the construction of the first of the two biological treatment blocks.
