Prime Minister meets with ADB Country Director
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene met
with ADB Country Director for Mongolia Pavit Ramachandran today.
The Prime Minister thanked the Asian Development Bank for
its implementation of USD 3.2 billion worth projects and programs in the fields
of education, health, society, finance, infrastructure and urban planning over
the past 30 years. He also noted that they are working together to mitigate the
negative impact on vulnerable groups during the pandemic.
The ADB implemented projects and programs worth USD1.3
billion over the past three years. The same amount of funding is planned for
2021-2024, said Mr. Pavit Ramachandran. “The ADB is ready to cooperate with
Mongolia for major construction projects, in particular ‘Bogdkhan Railway’ and Green
Affordable Housing project as well as in the public transport sector.”
During the meeting, they also exchanged views on the supply
of vaccination, good governance, reduction of corruption index and cooperation
in health and education sectors.
