Chairman of the General Judicial Council receives EU Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Chairman of the General
Judicial Council D.Zumberellkham received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of
the European Union to Mongolia Axelle Nicaise on January
26.
During the meeting, Ambassador Axelle Nicaise expressed
readiness to work together to support judicial reform in Mongolia, which is considered as a priority within the framework of the new
partnership program for 2021-2027 being developed by the European Union and the
Government of Mongolia.
Mr. Zumberellkham proposed to cooperate in fields such as developing a policy for the judiciary development , studying the best practices of the judicial selection system,
intensifying judicial digitalization, as well as improving the quality of training in judiciary.
Ambassador Axelle Nicaise stressed the importance of
e-transition in the judiciary and discussed the possibility of cooperation. Also he said that he would give an increased focus on human
rights-based approaches, gender equality, civil society participation and involvement of young generation.
Expressing his confidence in further cooperation
with the European Union in accordance with the 'Vision-2050' long term
development policy of Mongolia and the development policy of
judiciary D.Zumberellkham noted that the
meeting was fruitful.
