Views exchanged on cooperation for water supply improvement

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On August 2, State Secretary of the
Ministry of Environment and Tourism E.Battulga received delegates led by Head
of UN Office for Sustainable Development Chun Kyoo Park, Head of Office of the
United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) Bokyun Shim and others.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on cooperating in improving water supply in regions with low water resources, solving the issues such as climate change, desertification and land degradation, protecting water resources comprehensively, as well as in the field of weather modification project.
UNOSD was established in 2011 by the United
Nations and the Government of the Republic of Korea. The Office is part of the
Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) of the United Nations
Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).
The purpose of the United Nations Office for Sustainable
Development (UNOSD) is to support UN Member States in planning and implementing
the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the 17 Sustainable
Development Goals, through knowledge sharing, research, training and
partnerships.
