The 23rd Asian Physics Olympiad to be held in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 23rd Asian Physics
Olympiad is going to be held in Mongolia from May 22 to 30, 2023.
The first APhO was initiated by and organized in Indonesia in 2000.
About 240 students and over 60 instructors from over 30 Asian countries will
participate in this year’s Olympiad.
Today, representatives of the host country
received the symbolic flag of APhO.
This Olympiad aims,
- To evaluate the quality
and assess the level of physics education;
- To support
potential and talented children in physics and enable them to advance their
knowledge;
- To experience
and share diversified cultures across the region.
For the host country, organizing the APhO brings the following
opportunities,
- To promote
and advertise physics science;
- To identify the level of physics
science development and students’ knowledge and skills of Asian countries;
- To develop foreign relations of
Mongolian physics science sector;
-To support Mongolians interested in studying physics
science and enable them to compete internationally.
