Mongolia and Hungary to Foster Fruitful Cooperation Across Multiple Sectors

Ulaanbaatar, April 27, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Hungary, the Embassy of Mongolia in Hungary organized a Ceremonial Event.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh opened Event, emphasizing that Hungary, a country with historical ties to Mongolia, is an important partner in Europe. Minister Battsetseg underlined that expanding relations across multiple social and economic sectors and fostering effective cooperation with Hungary is one of Mongolia’s important foreign policy objectives. Highlighting the pride in the achievements of bilateral cooperation, the Foreign Minister of Mongolia also expressed Mongolia’s strong commitment and aspiration to elevate the bilateral relations to a new level as the two countries celebrate this historic milestone with renewed determination and confidence.

Foreign Minister Battsetseg further noted that people-to-people ties and mutual understanding serve as an important bridge in Mongolia-Hungary relations, praising the deepening friendship between the peoples, bound by historical ties, and extended gratitude to those who have made valuable contributions to the advancement of friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Hungary.


The Ceremonial Event was attended by around 200 guests, including representatives from the Government of Hungary, Mongolian and Hungarian citizens who have contributed to bilateral ties, and heads of diplomatic missions to Hungary from other countries. Historically, Mongolia and Hungary first established diplomatic relations on April 28, 1950, in Budapest.
