Three Mongolian Athletes to Compete in Milano-Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games

Ulaanbaatar, December 26, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Three Mongolian athletes have secured qualification to compete in cross-country skiing at the Winter Paralympic Games, which will open on March 6, 2026, in Milan and Cortina, Italy.
Specifically, Ganbold Batmunkh and Dashdorj Tsegmid will
compete in the men’s 10 km and 20 km cross-country skiing events, while Selenge
Adiyamunkh will race in the sitting cross-country sprint. Ganbold is the
Mongolian skier who has participated in the Winter Paralympics the most times,
while Dashdorj is training to compete in the Paralympics for the second
time.
Meanwhile, Selenge has become the first Mongolian woman to
qualify for the Paralympics. She
qualified for the Paralympics after winning a bronze medal at the Asian Cup in
Japan this year.
Mongolia first took part in the Winter Paralympic Games in
2006, and a cross-country skier, Sukhbaatar Nyamaa, competed. This year will
mark Mongolia’s sixth participation in the Games.
