Program for Chingis Khaan’s Birth Anniversary
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia will celebrate the 853rd birth anniversary of Chingis Khaan on November 12. It is a public holiday, marked as the Day of Mongolian Pride for the fourth time.
The Birthday of Chingis Khaan has been assumed by the scholars to have resided on the 1st day of the winter’s first month of the Year of Horse, by the Lunar Calendar, and on one of the days in the beginning of November of 1162, by the Gregorian calendar.
At 10 am of November 12, a ceremony for glorifying the State Flag and the State Nine White Banners will run on Chingis Square.
This will be followed by a ceremony for awarding “Chingis Khaan” order, the state’s first-class award, at the Ceremonial Hall of the State House.
At 14.00, a traditional wrestling of 128 wrestlers will start at the Mongolian Wrestling Palace.
The annual exhibition named “Script of Eternal Sky”, initiated by the President, will open at 11.40 of November 13 at the Mongolian Fine Art Gallery. The exhibition will be displayed until November 17, free of charge.
