City authorities formulate road master plan

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Speaking to residents of several Khoroos of Songino-Khairkhan district during a recent meeting, Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar P.Bayarkhuu stated, “The capital city authorities have planned robust infrastructure development in the frameworks of which several measures are to be taken in the near future”.
In particular, 2017 was declared as a ‘Year of Legal Reformation’, and a draft law concerning the legal status of the capital city has been submitted to the Cabinet.
In the scope of a program to increase employment in Ulaanbaatar, the city administration organized an open day employment intermediary event which proved useful and productive to some 2000 individuals looking for job.
Furthermore, the capital city administration has begun preparations to advance to an integrated CCTV system in order to ensure safety of every Ulaanbaatar residents. “For the first time, Ulaanbaatar City Road Master Plan has been formulated in frames of which road repair and constructions will soon begin”, the Deputy Mayor said.
He also mentioned that the authorities were looking into possibilities of introducing a one-ride smart card in public transportation for visitors to Ulaanbaatar, for instance, people coming from 21 provinces.
Member of Parliament D.Terbishdagva, Minister of Health A.Tsogtsetseg and other officials were present at the meeting as well.
