Minister D.Oyunkhorol meets with Chinese tourism delegates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 19, D.Oyunkhorol, Minister of Environment and Tourism received Chinese delegates led by Li Jinzao, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration. The Chinese delegates arrived in Mongolia on June 19 within the framework of a meeting of tourism ministers of Mongolia, China and Russia, which is taking place in Ulan-Ude city of Russia.

At the meeting, Minister D.Oyunkhorol said “I hope the tourism ministers' meeting will be productive for the development of cross border tourism cooperation within the “Tea Road” Mongolia-China-Russia International Tourism Association. On June 22, the days to promote tourism products of Mongolia and China will be held in Mongolia. Mongolia joining the Tea Road international tourism association is an example of Mongolia is paying attention to develop cross border tourism with its neighboring countries Russia and China. Thus, Mongolia is interested in cooperating with China to establish a tourism center, train human resources in this field and exchange tourism employees”.

In turn, Li Jinzao, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration noted “The Republic of China has a full potential to cooperate with Mongolia in the tourism sector. I hope that the decisions issued by the Tea Road ” Mongolia-China-Russia International Tourism Association will give an impetus to develop cross border tourism industry of the three countries. I believe solutions to me from the forum will exert influence on the decisions of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Republic of China is going to host an international meeting of tourism ministers next September within the ‘One belt, one road’ initiative and development of the global tourism industry will be on the agenda. This meeting will enable every country to promote its tourism products to others" He invited Mongolian Minister D.Oyunkhorol to participate in this meeting in conclusion of the meeting.
