PM visits Gobi cashmere factory

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 25, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat visited the Gobi cashmere factory, which started its operation after the major fire on June 14, and congratulated the staff for overcoming the sudden crisis in a short time.

PM J.Erdenebat said “Not only did the entire nation worried about the incident of a major national brand, many countries paid close attention to the process. Since the factory has started full operation without losing any time, the company will be able to supply foreign and domestic orders in time. Gobi JSC is considered the number one private entity in Mongolia, providing workplace for over 1700 people, purchasing over 750 thousand tons of wools from over 160 thousand herders and annually paying over MNT 13 billions of taxes”.  

Also, PM expressed his gratitude to the brave men of the National Emergency Management Agency’s firefighters for successfully tackling the fire and safekeeping the properties.

Gobi JSC CEO Ts.Baatarsaikhan remarked “The fire burned about 23 thousand square meters of roof. Thanks to the good men from the National Emergency Management Agency, the factory has started full operation as usual” and informed to donate MNT 16 million, which was gathered as a support to “Gobi” JSC, to the National Emergency Management Agency.

Mr. Ts.Baatarsaikhan expressed his appreciation towards the Prime Minister for providing support amid and after the fire. He noted “We are grateful towards our staff and Mongolian people. Continuing our operation as soon as we could was our gift to the Mongolian people. We promise to work even harder from now on”.
