MCAA Director General meets Japanese delegates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia and Japan expressed mutual interest to cooperate on the management of Mongolia's new airport in Khushig Valley.
On the sidelines of the 54th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Regions, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia L.Byambasuren met with Japanese delegation led by Shuji Takahara, deputy chief of the Civil Aviation Bureau of Japan on August 9.
During the meeting, sides expressed interests in cooperating on the management and human resource training of the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport (NUBIA).
One of the main sectors of cooperation between Mongolia and Japan is transport. The New Ulaanbaatar International Airport is the biggest investment made in Mongolia’s civil aviation sector by the Japanese Government.
Director General L.Byambasuren said that Mongolia was making efforts to put the airport into operation as soon as possible.
