Mongolia promoted at Tourism EXPO Japan 2017

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On September 21-24, Mongolian tour operators participated for the first time in the Japan-hosted international Tourism EXPO (JATA) 2017.
Statistics show that 19.985 Japanese tourists traveled to Mongolia in 2016. In response to rising number of Japanese tourists in the country in recent years, the Tourism Department of the capital city in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism partook in the international expo, promoting the local tourism industry.
Mongolian tour operators and entities including Mongolian Airlines, Birga Tour LLC, Flower Hotel, Gobi Tour LLC, Iris Tours LLC, Jiguur LLC, Juulchin LLC, Let’s Travel LLC, Nomadic Tourism tour agency and domestic brand Yalguun were present at the event. Moreover, artists of Ulaanbaatar Ensemble delivered cultural performances at the exhibition venue on September 23-24.
The exhibition opening was attended by Parliament member M.Oyunchimeg, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ts.Tsengel, Head of the Tourism Policy Management Department at the Ministry S.Bat-Erdene, Head of Tourism Department of the capital city D.Batsukh and others.
