Ulaanbaatar, September 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian "Belt and Road" Co-Development Research Center, the Mongolia-China Friendship Society, and the China Global Television Network studio in Ulaanbaatar jointly organized a scientific conference, “Chinese Green Development Achievements-Mongolia’s Possibilities.”
The scientific conference aimed at analyzing, and sharing China’s experience, current situation, and achievements made in green development while assessing Mongolia’s progress and needs for bolstering green development and green economy, and formulating recommendations based on the analysis of Mongolia’s challenges in this field.
Today’s world situation - global
warming and climate change duly requires green development and a green economy
based on digital technology. Innovation in science and technology has accelerated
the development of the green economy, with emerging new digital products and
improved calculation capacity and methods. Furthermore, the growth rate of the digital
economy and green development has far surpassed that of the global economy, and
innovations are applied in all social sectors and significantly affect the
general outlook of the global economy. Therefore, international cooperation in
green development and green economy is becoming closer, noted the
researchers and scholars at the conference.
The conference attendees underscored that the People’s Republic of China has amassed great experience in solar, wind, hydro, and atomic energy sectors, and the electric vehicles industry. With this advantage, China tends to increase investments in new energy and eco-automobile industries of countries that joined the Belt and Road Initiative in 2025, focusing on the green economy and low-carbon emitting sectors. China has reflected the goal of forming an ecological civilization in its 14th Five-Year Plan.
