Ulaanbaatar, February 26, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Museum Open Days are held nationwide in Mongolia during the first week of March each year.

In commemoration of the historic 101st anniversary of the establishment of modern museums in Mongolia, Museum Open Days will be held from March 1 to 7, 2025, to foster national pride and patriotism among children and young people through historical and cultural heritages and works of art.

During the Museum Open Days, the number of visitors doubles, exceeding the usual maximum of 500–600 tourists per day. On regular days, students and pupils visit less frequently, while elderly visitors are more common.

Last year, over 2,900 people visited the Mongolian National History Museum on March 1, with the number rising to 3,700 on March 2. The museum offers free admission for children under 16 and individuals with developmental challenges. On regular days, tickets cost MNT 20,000 for adults, while a family ticket is MNT 15,000. Additionally, photography is permitted for MNT 20,000, and students can obtain permission for MNT 10,000.

The Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts offers free admission every day for children, the elderly, and individuals with developmental challenges. On regular days, the entrance fee is MNT 10,000 for adults and MNT 3,000 for students.
