Ulaanbaatar, March 19, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Center of Excellence for English Language Teaching and Learning was established under the National University of Mongolia (NUM) on March 11, 2025.
The Center formally initiated its operations with an academic writing course tailored for English language educators. Furthermore, the subsequent phase of training programs is currently under development, encompassing seminars facilitated by volunteers from the Peace Corps and anglophone nations.
Pursuant to discussions held in August 2025 between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh and the U.S. Secretary of State Antony John Blinken, the “U.S.-Mongolia Excellence in English Initiative” Initiative was introduced, culminating in the establishment of the Center of Excellence for English Language Teaching and Learning.
