World-acknowledged jazz musicians in Mongolia

The “Jazz Lab” agency is going to host “Ulaanbaatar International Jazz series 2016­-2017” in Mongolia. Performances are expected by jazz singer Kenny Washington,

jazz pianist and vocalist Champion Fulton, Spanish pianist Ignasi Terraza, French harmonica master Laurent Maur, and American jazz saxophonist Jesse Davis.

Mongolia to launch satellite

Mongolia is set to launch its first ever satellite in March of the next year, reported the Mongolian Emergency Commission and the National University of Mongolia. Two month later after that, namely in month of May, a specific robot will be placed in the open space. The satellite is programmed to work in space for six months and return home, upon which it must destroy itself.

Children of Asia sports festival to be held in Ulaanbaatar

The International sports festival “Children of Asia” organized since 1996 every four years in Yakutsk, Russia will move to a different venue – Ulaanbaatar in 2020.

On average, each games attract more than 4,500 teenage athletes, their coaches and trainers from 40 countries. They will compete in 20 sports categories within ten days.

Border checkpoints to close on the Day of Mongolian Pride

The Day of Mongolian pride or the birthday of Chinggis Khaan will be marked on October 31 which will be day off nationwide. This day, Mongolia-China border auto checkpoints are to close. However, it will not apply to international flights and trains.
