Demand-Based Skills Program Targets Employment Growth

Ulaanbaatar, May 22, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The implementation, evaluation report, and outcomes of the Demand-Based Skills Program were presented on May 21, 2025.


Since 2020, the Emergency Support and Employment Project has been implemented with funding from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Mongolia and the World Bank. As a sub-component of the project, the Demand-Based Skills Program aims at increasing employment opportunities by enhancing participants’ skills. Under this program, the Training, Assessment, and Research Institute of Labor and Social Protection has organized skills training in 17 high-demand professions in the labor market.


A total of 725 individuals received training through the program, including 300 who completed qualification training and 200 who took part in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment. The Institute for Social Policy and Development Research of Mongolia evaluated the program and its implementation process and assisted with research methodology to support its effectiveness.
