Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At Thursday’s plenary meeting, the State Great Khural (Parliament) ran the first reading of the draft amendment to the Law on Parliamentary Election. The bill was submitted by Kh.Temuujin, A.Bakei, Su.Batbold, N.Battsereg and D.Lundeejantsan MPs.

As the MPs did not have any principally different opinion during the discussion on the draft amendment through the Standing committee on State Structure, the Parliament backed the proposal to adopt the amendment on the first reading.

It suggested changing the clause 26.6 of the election law. The change is facilitating the officials in the public services to become a candidate to the Parliamentary elections.

At the beginning of the plenary meeting of November 26, Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Z.Enkhbold extended greetings for the 91st anniversary of the adoption of the first constitution of Mongolia (then Republic of Mongolia), on behalf of the Mongolian Parliament.
