President leaves for France
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj has flown to France to take part in the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21 or CMP 11) that will kick off Monday in Paris.
Has brought together state leaders of some 160 countries, the conference will consider eight vital issues such as capping the rate of global warming at 2 degrees Celsius--compared to the current 2.5 to 3.76 degrees Celsius and completely abolishing the emission of greenhouse gas by 2050.
Under a motto “Last chance”, the conference’s participants will mostly discuss matters on reducing the consumption of coal, oil and natural gas which are main factors of the global warming and emission of carbon dioxide and methane.
