Mongolia promoted in Edinburgh

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A cultural event called “A Celebration of Mongolia” took place on April 27 in the Edinburgh Castle, a historic place in Scotland, UK.

Co-organized by Mr David Scott, the Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Glasgow city; the Scotland-Mongolia Friendship Society and the Mongolia-Britain Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together officials from the Honorary Consulate of Mongolia, business delegates and Mongolians residing in Scotland.

Opening remarks were made by Mr David Scott, the Honorary Consul and Mr N.Tulga, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Kingdom. The remarks were followed by playing by Scottish bagpipes of the national anthems of Mongolia and Scotland.

The guests visited the Edinburgh Castle and watched a concert given by the Mongolian group “Melody of nomads”. A photo exhibition featuring the nature of Mongolia, flora and fauna and lifestyle of Mongolians.
