J.Khunan elected as President of Mongolian Bar Association

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian Bar Association held its Third Congress on October 28 and elected J.Khunan as the President of the Association.
In accordance with the law on Lawyers Legal Status, the Congress of Lawyers should be held every two years and elect its new president. Six lawyers, namely P.Amarjargal, P.Erdenebat, G.Natsagdorj, B.Bayarsaikhan, J.Khunan and D.Tumshintamir were nominated for the post and nominee B.Bayarsaikhan withdrew his name during the Congress. Majority of 524 delegates, who attended the Congress, voted for J.Khunan.
The Congress also approved amendment to the Rule on Lawyers’ professional activities.
