Mountaineer Zolbookhuu Summits Mount Manaslu

Ulaanbaatar, October 8, 2025 / MONTSAME/. Mongolian mountaineer Zolbookhuu Ombo has successfully reached the summit of Mount Manaslu (8,163 meters), one of the 14 Himalayan peaks in Nepal rising above 8,000 meters.
He completed his ascent at 4:00 a.m. local time on September 25, 2025, and returned to Mongolia on October 7. This marks his second successful climb of a mountain exceeding 8,000 meters, following his ascent of Mount Everest (8,848 meters) in 2023.
Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak, was first summited by Mongolian climber Batbold Bayarbaatar in 2019 and later by B. Bathishig in 2024. Zolbookhuu Ombo has now become the third Mongolian mountaineer to reach its summit.
