Ulaanbaatar, December 15, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of December 15-21, 2025.


Events in Ulaanbaatar:

December 15: Political party groups in the State Great Khural will convene.

December 15: Millennium Challenge Account Mongolia will host a meeting, titled “Let’s Talk About Water,” with representatives of press organizations at the Tuushin Hotel.   

December 15: An academic conference titled “65 Years of Journalism Education and Research” will be held at the Academic Hall of Building I of the National University of Mongolia, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the start of training national journalism professionals in Mongolia and the establishment of the Department of Journalism at the NUM.

December 16: Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economy will hold a hearing with the nominee for the position of Governor of the Bank of Mongolia at the “General D. Sukhbaatar” Hall of the State Palace.

December 16: The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) will organize an online meeting in cooperation with the Osaka Business and Investment Center and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Japan.

December 16-17: Standing Committees of the State Great Khural will convene.

December 17: Cabinet meeting will be held.

December 18-19: Plenary session of the State Great Khural (Parliament) will be held at the State Palace.

December 20: A Day of Trade Workers will be observed

December 20-21:  A wrestling tournament, "Golden Cup" by Mongolian National Wrestling Federation, will be organized.

 

-The census of livestock and domestic animals will continue until December 17, 2025.

-The “Healing Mother Nature” exhibition will be displayed at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum until January 18, 2026.


Local events:

December 20–21: The “Camel Herders’ Festival 2025,” named after D. Genden, Mongolia’s first Foremost Camel Herder, will be held in Guchin-Us soum of Uvurkhangai aimag.


Events abroad:

-A total of 32 teams from Mongolia, Russia, South Korea, Greece, Brazil, Slovenia, and the United States will compete in the Junior Judo League in Sochi, Russia, until December 19, 2025.

-The “Mongolia – A Journey Through Time” special exhibition will be on display at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, Switzerland, until February 26, 2026.
