Monument “Tengeriin Urkh” Dedicated to the 11th ASEM Summit Opened
VideoThe 11th Asia-Europe Meeting was successfully held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in the outgoing year of 2016. Dedicating to this event, a monument “Tengeriin Urkh” /Apex of Sky/ was created and the opening ceremony was held at the park in front of the Sukhbaatar’s Square.
The monument “Tengeriin Urkh” is a work of a member of the Union of Mongolian Artists, painter A.Chadraabal. It symbolizes world countries and continents, scientific discoveries, global solidarity and cooperation and nomadic lifestyle and cultural heritage of ancient Mongols.
The monument has signatures of the Heads of the 53 different countries and representatives of the international organizations, who participated in the ASEM events and the world map. It looks like human eye from the top and side view looks like human brain and inside it feels like in a Mongol Ger.
The monument symbolizes the fact that during the 11th ASEM Summit, the world leaders discussed global policies in the Mongol Ger.
