Businessmen from Chiba prefecture of Japan visit

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Representatives of 18 entities from Chiba prefecture of Japan recently visited in Mongolia, holding a business meeting with Mongolian businessmen, expressing their interest to cooperate and exhibiting their products.
At the meeting with Japanese business representatives, CEO of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry M.Oyunchimeg underlined that the first Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Japan gives big opportunities to expand investment, trade and economic ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
According to the bilateral trade statistics, car and equipment make up 90 percent of Japanese import products whereas type and volume of Mongolian export goods to Japan is few. However, the sides remarked Japanese chambers, financial institutes and NGOs are paying attention on cooperating and eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers that encounter to businesses through FTA.
