Cooperating with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Funded by the Government of Canada, a
project ‘Towards a Professional and Citizen-Centred Civil Service in Mongolia’
is being co-implemented by the UNDP Mongolia and Civil Service Council of
Mongolia.
Within the framework of the project, 20 civil servants from
state organizations were selected and trained virtually in the scholarship program of Lee
Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of Singapore.
Cooperation is established with the Lee Kuan Yew School of
Public Policy to train civil servants according to the international standards,
increase e-learning, and expand cooperation with world-renowned schools.
“The program towards developing skills in policy planning, formulating
and implementing as well as giving awareness to the public aims at promoting to
study new skills and practices during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Ms. Elaine
Conkievich, UNDP Resident Representative, in her remarks during the virtual
closing ceremony on August 26.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia Catherine Ivkoff, UNDP Resident
Representative Elaine Conkievich, Chairman of the Civil Service Council
B.Baatarzorig, and Vice Dean and Associate Professor in Practice, Lee Kuan Yew
School of Public Policy, Dr. Francesco Mancini.
