Mongolia-Germany trade and economic relations to be expanded
PoliticsUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The regular political consultative
meeting between the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Federal Foreign
Office of Germany was held in Ulaanbaatar on June 23.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of the
Asia-Pacific Department of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Dr.Martin
Tummel.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on
the current social and economic situation of the two countries and the
implementation of goals, and discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral
cooperation between Mongolia and Germany, as well as within regional and
international organizations.
The sides had a discussion on various topics covering Comprehensive
Partnership cooperation such as expanding bilateral trade and economic
relations, deepening cooperation in defense, culture, education and transport
fields, intensifying bilateral dialogue mechanisms as well
as marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relations between the two countries.
The German side informed that the country is resuming its
official development assistance and cooperation to be implemented in
Mongolia, and affirmed to launch bilateral talks in near
future.
