First Research on Wood Decay Starts

/MONTSAME/. The Institute of Geography and
Geoecology of Mongolia in collaboration with researchers from Germany’s
Freiburg and Göttingen University has started a research to study the presence
and distribution of the decay or rot in larch trees in Khangai soum, Arkhangai
aimag.
This study to determine the rotting of trees, which is being
conducted in the Khangai mountain range forest, representing the larch forests
of the western region of Mongolia, is
unique in that it is being conducted for the first time in Mongolia.
By conducting this study, it is possible to accurately calculate
the quality and yield of larch forests in Mongolia.
