Mongolian University of Science and Technology Decorates Its Classroom with the World's Heaviest Metal

Interesting facts about this metal have been displayed on the newly renovated classroom walls at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST). The renovation was completed under a memorandum of cooperation signed in 2023 between MUST and “Badrakh Energy” company, and the project was handed over on December 4th.
At the
reception, the Director of MUST, T. Namnan, expressed, "We are pleased that
you are contributing to the training of skilled personnel with engineering
thinking and expertise in Mongolia."
"Badrakh
Energy," which is developing a new mining sector, is working closely with
MUST to train specialists in geology, mining, nuclear, and chemical technology.
The collaboration aims to provide students with valuable real-world experience
through joint projects and internships, as well as organizing seminars
introducing “In Situ Recovery” (ISR) technology and involving scientists and
professors in training with internationally recognized experts.
These
efforts are part of the planned initiatives under the memorandum of
cooperation.
During
the opening of the new classroom, the CEO of "Badrakh Energy," Mark
Meleard, said, "By supporting the renovation of the classroom, our company
is participating in the preparation of skilled professionals for the uranium
industry’s future."
"Badrakh Energy" plans to create 1,600 jobs when its core mining operations begin in 2028, with approximately 800 of them being full-time employees of the company.
