Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia
PoliticsUlaanbaatar, January 31, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On January 30, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Igawahara Masaru.
Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh emphasized that deepening friendly relations and cooperation with Japan, Mongolia’s close partner sharing common democratic values, is one of the key priorities of Mongolia’s foreign policy. The Foreign Minister expressed Mongolia’s commitment to further strengthening the Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity between Mongolia and Japan and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation across all sectors.
Ambassador Igawahara Masaru expressed Japan’s commitment to further strengthening the political trust between the two countries, expanding cooperation in the economy, infrastructure, development, education, and interregional collaboration, and reinforcing the friendship between the peoples of Mongolia and Japan.
The two sides agreed on the importance of ensuring the effective implementation of the 10-year Action Plan for the Mongolia-Japan Special Strategic Partnership and continuing close cooperation in regional and international affairs based on shared objectives.
