National Control Program for Foot-and-Mouth Disease Receives International Validation

Ulaanbaatar, June 3, 2025 /MONTSAME/. During the 92nd General Session of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), organized in Paris, the French Republic, Mongolia's National Control Program for Foot-and-Mouth Disease was officially validated and received certification.
According to the General Authority of Veterinary Services of Mongolia, the validation of this Program by the WOAH indicates full recognition that domestic measures taken by Mongolia to combat highly infectious foot-and-mouth diseases, including early diagnosis, prevention, and monitoring, are in par with international standards. This plays a crucial role in ensuring domestic as well as international free trade and market exposure of animal-derived raw materials and products.
Program implementation updates are submitted to the World Organization for Animal Health annually.
