MPP Congress Elects Conference Members

Ulaanbaatar, November 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The 31st Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) is continuing for its third day under the motto “Unity–Solution–Development” at the Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace.


At the opening of the Congress, MPP Secretary-General Sodbaatar Yangug delivered a report and presentation titled “The Mongolian People’s Party: Leading Tradition, Reform, and Development.” The session was addressed by former MPP Chair and Member of Parliament Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, and former MPP Secretary-General, former Chairman of the State Great Khural, and Member of Parliament Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve.


A total of 2,247 delegates from the MPP branches of the 21 aimags and nine districts have received mandates to participate. The ruling party currently has 314,961 members, meaning each delegate represents around 140 party members. Notably, 916 delegates, or 40.1 percent, are women, making it the Congress with the highest number of delegates and the strongest female representation in the party’s 104-year history. Of the delegates, 292 (13%) are aged 21–35, 914 (40.7%) are 36–45, 794 (35.3%) are 46–60, and 247 (11%) are senior members aged 61 and above.





Today, the Congress is electing new members of the Supervisory Committee and members of the MPP Conference. On November 16, 2025, the Congress discussed and adopted amendments to the party’s Charter. Specifically, delegates approved the draft amendments to the Party Charter and the proposed additions and changes to the party’s platform, known as the “Aspirations and Commitments.” Delegates openly expressed their comments and criticisms, raised questions related to the draft charter, and received responses from the working group’s chair and members.


The MPP reported that delegates actively participated in the discussion by asking questions and submitting comments and proposals directly to the working group, as well as in writing and through the e-Nam mobile application.


Among the elected delegates, the oldest is former MPP Chair G. Ochirbatwho has reached 100 years of age, followed by D. Amar, an Honored Teacher of Mongolia, aged 85. The youngest delegate is B. Bilguun, 21, Chairman of the Youth Federation of Dornogobi aimag.
