State Secretary meets Director of Asia Pacific Directorate, UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On June 6, D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received Ms. Kate White, Director of Asia Pacific Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK, exchanging views on current state of bilateral relations and cooperation, actions to be implemented further and mutually interested matters regarding regional and international relations.
During the
meeting, Mr. Davaasuren expressed the country’s willingness to expand bilateral
friendly relations and cooperation in all sectors and maintaining collaboration
in increasing trade and investment.
He also
noted that Mongolia’s friendly relations with the UK that established the diplomatic
relations with Mongolia first among western countries, are intensively
developing in recent years alongside expanding cooperation in politics, trade,
economy, culture, education, humanity and conservation.
Ms. Kate
White highly praised Mongolia’s endeavors of realizing ‘Ulaanbaatar Dialogue’
initiative since 2013 within its framework to contribute in resolving regional
pressing issues, strengthening peace and stability in Northeast Asia and
expanding security cooperation.

White attended the closing session of the Sixth International Conference on ‘Ulaanbaatar
Dialogue for Northeast Asian Security’.
